The Neville Agency is a boutique literary agency specializing in nonfiction. We seek out authors who are experts in their fields; who have a unique voice or vision; and who are poised to contribute something new or provocative to the cultural dialogue. We also handle a select number of mysteries and thrillers. We have an outstanding record of placing our clients' books with top commercial publishers, but what truly sets the Neville Agency apart is our talent for editorial development. As an editor at various publishing houses, recounts founder Barret Neville, many of my bestsellers were unagented books whose authors I had sought out and whose proposals I helped nurture. My vision for the agency is to continue this focus on the author, using my skills to help them develop the strongest possible proposal, and my inside knowledge of the New York houses to successfully and profitably find a publisher for those proposals. |
The Portuguese rights (Brazil) to Flipping the Switch (John Miller) have been sold to Sextante. The "page-a-day" calendar rights to The Dictionary of Corporate Bullshit (Lois Beckwith) have been sold to Workman. Randall Hicks' debut mystery, The Baby Game, has won the 2006 Gumshoe Award for Best First Novel. |
